Burro

Slow week

Weekly progress update since 2023-09-07 • 2023-09-14Michael Rees

There's not much to report this week. I've mostly taken time away from Burro to work on some other projects and deal with some things in my personal life (to be honest, I needed processing time to think about how to handle the major layout bug described in the last post).

I did spend some time working on issue #29. The problem is that the tokenizer emits an OpenSquare token whenever it encounters a [, even if that bracket is not attached to a command. There are a few ways around this, but they create annoying ownership problems, so I need to spend more time deciding how to move forward.

I also went to another Deep Dish Rust meetup, Chicago's fledgling Rust group. Most of the conversation focused on other things, but I did bring up Burro a couple of times. These will be good connections to have once the 0.1 release is out and I make our first push for community contributors!

That's all for now. Hopefully next week I'll have more to report!
